2 Ethnographic Study of Bhilala and Pawra Communities of Buldana District This study has been undertaken by the Research Section of Tribal Research and Training Institute, Pune. The officials of the institute carried out an Ethnographic Field Work for collection of data. The members of Bhilala and Pawra communities of Buldana district do not get Scheduled Tribe Certificate since 2004. The project aims at studying whether these communities are Scheduled tribes or not, identifying the factors responsible for not getting the Scheduled Tribe Certificate and recommendations in the matter. Accordingly, the Ethnographic Study of Bhilala and Pawra communities from Jalgaon Jamod and Sangrampur Talukas of Buldana District has been completed. Data collection, data entry and data analysis has been completed and report writing is in the final stage.
3 Ethnographic Study of Gowari Community The Government has decided to undertake this research project in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. Gond tribe along with its sub-tribe Gond Gowari has been mentioned at serial number 18 in the list of Scheduled Tribes in Maharashtra. The Gowari community has demanded an amendment in this entry as to remove the entry of Gond Gowari as a sub tribe of Gond and declare Gowari community as an independent tribe. Accordingly, preparation of a holistic study is under progress.
4 Revised study of Gowari community in Maharashtra -(in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai)  
5 Researcher study of Pandava and Bhalala tribes in Buldana × Jalna Sangrampur and Jalgaon talukas  
6 Special Training on Awareness about Health and Hygiene for Prerikas-Adolescent Girls in Ashram Schools (in collaboration with All India Institute of Local Self Government, Pune)  
7 Livelihood Resources, Health and Food Habits of Katkari Tribe – (in collaboration with All India Institute of Local Self Government, Pune) This research project is being conducted in collaboration with All India Institute of Local Self Government, Pune. The project aims at studying the problems faced by Katkari tribe (in Pune, Raigad, Thane and Palghar districts) such as illiteracy, education, economy, superstitions, poverty, malnutrition, livelihood resources, food habits and health, employment and migration etc. Data will be collected by Quantitative and Evolutional Method using Interview guides, Focused Group Discussions and Observations. The project is in its final stage.
8 Livelihood Resources, Health and Food Habits of Korku Tribe –(in collaboration with College of Social Work, Amravati) This research project is being conducted in collaboration with Social Work College, Amravati. The projects aims at studying the problems faced by Korku tribe (Dharani, Chikhaldara, Melghat, Morshi and Achalpur Talukas of Amravati districts) such as illiteracy, education, economy, superstitions, poverty, malnutrition, livelihood resources, food habits and health, employment and migration etc. Data will be collected by Quantitative and Evolutional Method using Interview guides, Focused Group Discussions and Observations. The project is in its final stage.
9 Mapping Food Habits Amongst the Tribals : An Interventionist Strategy of Nutritious Food (in collaboration with Mumbai University, Mumbai)  
10 Health Needs of Adolescent Girls (AGs) in Ashram schools -(in collaboration with Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai) The project is in progress with the collaboration of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. The project aims at the Health Check-up of the adolescent girls of Ashram Schools of Maharashtra as well as to inculcate the awareness about the health issues in them. The health check-up of 800 girls has been completed and the final report of the project is soon to be submitted.
11 Ethnographic Study of 45 Scheduled Tribes in Maharashtra (in collaboration with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune) TRTI, Pune has undertaken this project in collaboration with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. The project includes the study of traditions, rituals of birth and death, customs, social and cultural interaction, festivals, deities, language / dialect, standard of living, occupations, economic development, changes in livelihood pattern etc. of Scheduled Tribes and their sub-tribes in Maharashtra. Anthropological data collection of 8 Scheduled tribes is completed and primary drafts of reports have been submitted to TRTI, Pune. Anthropological data collection of remaining tribes in various villages and padas is in progress.
